App Functionality

• Display real-time speed using GPS on digital and analog speedometer faces
• Track trip metrics: average speed, maximum speed, total distance, and travel time
• Enable the Parking feature — mark and navigate back to your parked vehicle
• Power the Car Camera / Dashcam feature for video recording during trips
• Provide Apple Watch integration for remote tracking control and live map view (iOS)
• Detect sudden impacts and notify designated emergency contacts (Accident Detection)
• Display weather conditions and sunrise/sunset times for your current location
• Generate a Driving Performance Score based on speed, braking, and acceleration

Analytics & Improvement

• Analyze anonymized usage patterns to improve app stability and features
• Collect crash reports to diagnose and fix technical issues promptly

Advertising

• Display relevant third-party advertisements within the free version of the app
• Share advertising identifiers (IDFA on iOS / Advertising ID on Android) with ad networks for ad personalization, subject to your consent

Google AdMob Advertising

Serves banner and interstitial advertisements. May collect advertising identifiers (IDFA / Advertising ID) and usage data for ad targeting subject to your consent.

Provides anonymized usage analytics and event tracking to help us understand and improve app usage.

Google Maps SDK / Apple Maps Mapping

Used to render live maps, display current position, and provide navigation to parked vehicle locations.

iCloud (iOS) Cloud Storage

Used optionally to upload and store dashcam recordings, accessible anytime via your Apple ID.

You may revoke any permission at any time via Settings > Privacy & Security (iOS) or Settings > Apps > GPS Speedometer > Permissions (Android) on your device.

GPS Speedometer offers the following premium options:

• Weekly Premium Subscription
• Monthly Premium Subscription
• Yearly Premium Subscription
• Lifetime Premium (one-time purchase)

All purchases are processed exclusively through Apple's App Store payment system (iOS) or Google Play Billing (Android). AppAspect Technologies does not collect, store, or process any payment card information or billing details. Apple's App Store or Google Play terms and privacy policy govern all transactions.

To restore a previous purchase, use the "Restore Purchases" option within the app.

The free version of GPS Speedometer displays advertisements served by Google AdMob and AppLovin/MAX.

App Tracking Transparency (ATT) - iOS

In accordance with Apple's ATT framework, we will request your permission before tracking your activity across apps and websites for advertising purposes. If you allow tracking, your IDFA may be shared with ad networks to serve relevant ads. If you deny tracking, you will still see ads, but they will be contextual rather than personalized.

You can change your tracking preference at any time:

• iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking > GPS Speedometer (toggle off)
• iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Apple Advertising > Personalized Ads (toggle off)
• Android: Settings > Google > Ads > Delete advertising ID

Upgrading to a Premium subscription removes all third-party advertisements from the app entirely.

Local Storage (Device)
Trip history, speed logs, and parking locations are stored locally on your device using iOS / Android secure storage. This data does not leave your device unless you explicitly choose to export it.

Cloud Storage (Optional – Dashcam)
If you enable the dashcam cloud upload feature, recordings are uploaded to secure cloud storage. You may manage or delete these recordings at any time from within the app.

Security Measures

• All data transmissions use industry-standard TLS/HTTPS encryption
• We follow Apple's and Google's security best practices for iOS and Android app data storage
• Access to any backend systems is restricted to authorized personnel only

Data Retention: Trip data stored locally is retained until you reset it or uninstall the app. Anonymized analytics data retained by Firebase follows Google's standard retention windows (up to 14 months).

GPS Speedometer is rated 4+ on the Apple App Store but is intended for general audiences and not specifically directed at children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and become aware that your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately at info@appaspecttechnologies.com. We will promptly delete any such information.

All Users

• Location control: Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services (iOS) or Settings > Location (Android)
• Ad tracking opt-out: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking (iOS) or Settings > Google > Ads (Android)
• Reset trip data: Use the in-app reset function to clear all locally stored trip history
• Delete dashcam recordings: Manage within the app or iCloud settings (iOS)
• Cancel subscription: Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions (iOS) or Google Play Store > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions (Android)
• Uninstall: Deletes all local app data from your device

GDPR Rights (EU/EEA Users)

• Right of access — request a copy of data we hold about you
• Right to rectification — correct inaccurate personal data
• Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten")
• Right to restrict processing
• Right to data portability
• Right to object to processing based on legitimate interests

CCPA Rights (California Users)

• Right to know what personal information is collected and how it is used
• Right to delete personal information
• Right to opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal data)
• Right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights

We may update this Privacy Policy as our app evolves or as legal requirements change. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this document. For material changes, we may notify you through an in-app notice or by updating the App Store or Google Play listing.
